EXPERIENCE

Don Wagner practices primarily business litigation. He has represented clients before trial courts throughout the State of California. In addition, he has practiced before several state and federal appellate courts. His practice has taken him to bankruptcy court and to complicated securities arbitration before both the New York Stock Exchange and National Association of Securities Dealers. His clients range from foreign corporations to start-up business, from individuals to directors of multinational manufacturing firms.

Mr. Wagner was educated at UCLA and the University of California, Hastings College of Law. While in law school, he served as senior technical editor for the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly, and for two years as a real property law teaching assistant. After obtaining his juris doctor in 1987, Mr. Wagner began his legal career with an approximately seventy-five person firm having offices throughout the State. He was the firm's senior litigation associate when he left to open his own practice.

Since establishing that practice Mr. Wagner has continued with the sophisticated business law he has always practiced. In addition to litigation, though, his practice has evolved to include a significant focus on transactional work. He has, among many other things, prepared licensing and distribution agreements, leases, employment contracts, corporate articles, by-laws and stock distribution agreements, and business Buy-Sell agreements, plus much more.

Mr. Wagner currently serves as an elected member and President of the Board of Trustees of the South Orange County Community College District. He regularly publishes articles on legal, political, and cultural topics in the Orange County Register, the Orange County Lawyer Magazine, and other publications. He also serves as a Judge Pro Tem for the Orange County Superior Court. He previously sat on the Boards of Directors of two corporations and is a past-President of the Board of Directors of the American Lung Association of Orange County. Mr. Wagner founded and served as President of the Orange County chapter of the Federalist Society, a national organization of lawyers, judges and law professors. He is a 2002 Conservative Women's Leadership Association "Hero in Education" award winner and recent finalist for the Irvine "Citizen of the Year" award.
